How billing works
- No minimum term. Monthly plans renew month to month. Paying for a year buys a year of service — it is not a contract you are locked into.
- Pay annually and get 2 months free. An annual plan is 12 months for the price of 10.
- No VAT to add. We are not VAT registered, so what is on the card is what leaves your account — nothing is added at checkout.
- Cancel with 30 days' notice, on any plan, by emailing us. You keep the service until the end of the period you have already paid for.
The full detail is in our terms and conditions.
Referral credit
Earn £100 per referral. Refer a business that signs up and completes their first month — get £100 credit towards any invoice. Credits stack and never expire.
Software, not just websites
A website tells people what you do. Software does the work. If your business runs on a spreadsheet nobody else understands, a paper diary, or four apps that refuse to talk to each other, that is a software problem, and it is the thing we are best at.
SaaS means software you reach through a browser and pay for monthly, rather than a disc you install. It can be a product you sell to your own customers, or a tool that only your staff ever log into. Both are built the same way.
A product you sell
Sign-up, logins, plans and monthly billing, with the money going straight to your Stripe account. Customers pay you; we never touch it.
A tool for your team
The spreadsheet that runs your business, turned into something with permissions, a history of who changed what, and no risk of somebody sorting one column.
A portal for your customers
Their jobs, quotes, documents and invoices in one place they can log into, instead of a chain of emails nobody can find.
Joining up what you already use
Most software will talk to other software if somebody writes the bit in the middle. Accounts packages, booking systems, suppliers, couriers, Google, Meta — that bit in the middle is what we do.
The work nobody should be doing
Overnight checks, reports that write themselves, reminders that go out on their own. Anything you currently do on a Friday afternoon because it has to be done.
Dashboards that tell the truth
Your real numbers, pulled from the systems that hold them, in one screen. Not a spreadsheet somebody updates when they remember.
We did it for ourselves first
Dalton Digital runs on software we wrote, called Pulse. It holds the client records, writes and schedules the social posts, takes the enquiries off every site we look after, and at half two every morning it checks all of them — SSL, sitemaps, broken links, pages that have stopped loading — before anybody is awake to notice. About a hundred thousand lines of code and a thousand tests, built in eight weeks by one person.
That is the same work, at the same speed, that goes into a client project. It is also why we are comfortable quoting timescales other people would not: see what Pulse does.
How a software project runs
A conversation
What the problem costs you now, in hours or in money. If there is no number, there is usually no project.
A scope and a fixed quote
Written down in plain English: what it will do, what it will not do, and what it costs. Nothing is built before you agree it.
Built in weeks
You see it working early and often, while it is still cheap to change your mind. This is where AI has genuinely changed the timescale.
Live, and looked after
Hosting, backups and monitoring on a monthly plan, with changes handled the same way as a website.
What it costs
Software is not on a plan card, because two projects that sound identical in a first conversation can be a fortnight apart in work. Every one is quoted individually after a scoping call, the quote is fixed before anything is built, and it is split into a deposit and the balance on delivery.
Once it is live, running it — hosting, backups, monitoring, changes — sits on a monthly plan like everything else. Who owns the code afterwards is agreed in writing before work starts, not left to be argued about later.
And if the honest answer is that a spreadsheet already does the job, we will say so. Half the software people ask us for, they do not need.
See the Website Management Policy for how ongoing update requests are handled once your site is live, and the Social Media Packages page for standalone social media pricing.
